Following on from the release of two standout singles ‘Stockholm Syndrome’ and ‘LED Nights’, Sydney’s Dead Language returns with his latest effort ‘The Man Who Killed My Father’.

The anthemic cut retains an uplifting melody throughout, overlaid with punchy bass lines and catchy synths. Paired with Price’s profound and sincere lyrics, the track offers a comprehensive take on pop music whilst holding onto it’s classic sensibilities.

The man behind the moniker, Dominic Price, describes the inspiration and story behind the song –

“A little over three years ago now, my father took his own life. There’s a discordant swell of emotion that comes with something like that, a mix of fierce anger and utter devastation. I didn’t know if I’d ever be able to forgive my dad for what he did. So I split him into two men: one was the father who had cared and doted on me, and one was the man who abandoned me. Once I had that idea, the whole song flowed from there. "

Dead Language’s previous singles have garnered strong support from local tastemaker blogs including Project U, The Brag, Scenestr. & The Interns as well as key community radio stations such as 4ZZZ & 2SER.

Apart from playing a few local shows, Price has taken a step back from performing in the previous year in order to craft his impressive debut EP (due late April).
