NSW Central Coast-based indie-pop duo, Little Earthquake, have just unveiled their brand new single ‘Human Connection’ (featuring Rosa Morgan) – mixed by Chris Galland and Manny Marroquin (Post Malone, Kanye West, The Weeknd).
‘Human Connection’ is a deep brooding slice of indie-electronica, melding dark-pop sensibilities with snippets of future bass-inspired production. Composed by brothers Justin and Matthew Hyland, and fellow collaborator Simon Carter, the tracks emotive highs are carried by Rosa Morgan, who’s endearing vocals soar and float effortlessly along throughout.
Justin Hyland describes the creative process behind ‘Human Connection’ –
‘I was in a very dark place when I wrote ‘Human Connection’. It’s about a girl, I thought I wanted to be with. As the writing progressed, the song took a very creative turn and started to take on a life of its own. I realised that I actually wasn’t chasing this girl and I was running from myself. I thought I was asking her not to give up on me, but by the time the song was finished I realised I was reaching out to myself. Not giving up on myself and not being afraid to admit that I wanted human connection. Ultimately, the song became a journey about self-reflection’
Since their inception, Little Earthquake have received strong support from the likes of triple j, Spotify, ABC’s Rage, MTV and worldwide tastemaker blogs. They’ve traversed the countryside playing sold-out shows alongside the likes of twenty one pilots, PNAU, The Griswolds and appeared on boutique festivals and events Mountain Sound Festival and Rare Finds.
In the coming weeks, Little Earthquake will reveal an accompanying music video for ‘Human Connection’.
‘Human Connection’ is now available worldwide via Spotify, Apple Music, iTunes and all other good digital retailers.
